A series of prints that station in the paradigm of the western expansion, particularly under the lens of The Old West. Created using an illustration of an old photograph of The 49ers. Then, screen printed repeatedly on tape, giving the paper fortitude and weight/dimension. The figures become muddled and muted into, and muted by the landscape. A look at a past moment in history the unfeeling character of today’s expansionary ideologies.
